Words – there are days when they come easy; when inspiration flows like water from a fountain; when the message can be spoken out loud and clear. But on some days they don’t. And I wait in desperation for the muse that will never come.
When the mind is drained, the body weary, and the soul hungry, there is a need to pull back – from “do”-ing, to just “be”-ing; the only way is to be still. No words need to be spoken; only allow oneself to bathe in His love overflowing. Because silence itself is a powerful message that cannot be told amidst the noise, a clarity that cannot be seen in the fog.
Silence – a message that God is at work. Working in me. Working in you.
Be still, and know that I am God.
~ Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)
