Illustration #14

Irene Cortez Illustration

I told myself that I wanted to draw something more simple than my other drawings. Well, my mom suggested it actually. She told me that maybe I should do a design that is less colorful.

I never thought that I would find the theme of simplicity difficult, though. Could it be that we, human beings, have gotten so used to complicated lives that we are already forgetting what simplicity is truly all about? Perhaps that’s the case for me.

My thoughts took me far away while I was trying to plan out this drawing. If you’ve seen some of my drawings, you would probably notice that there would often be floating leaves. But for this one, I thought of drawing leaves that are being blown by the wind, just as how my imagination works.

Happy Friday and I wish you a lovely weekend! God bless!
